Community Training on Protection of Culture Heritage in Afghanistan

Under the community approach for safeguarding and protection of culture heritage BRD organised community training for members of local communities on the importance of culture heritage and their role and responsibilities towards protection of culture heritage and familiarised them with the  basic  steps and principle for the delivery of first to protect culture heritage during disaster. BRD also formed a community led culture heritage maintenance and protection committee for the culture heritage site of Sultan Poor Chenee, who will be responsible for taking over responsibility of maintaining the site after the rehabilitation. The training was part of BRD emergency response to protection culture heritage site of Sultan poor chinee, and Shah Saifullah Tomb located in Surkhrud District of Nangahar Provinces Afghanistan. The project is supported by PCF/CER under the ALIPH grant.
